Hi! I’m Audra!

I am a multidisciplinary creative who is passionate about the ways design can promote human flourishing by creating more effective communication, cultivating connection, making opportunities + resources more accessible, and celebrating important people, places, + stories.

After studying Visual Communication Design and Design for Social Impact at Indiana Wesleyan University, I’ve been designing as a freelancer and working with companies around the country like Downtown Denver Partnership, Marion Design Co, Magnolia, and more to push brands, experiences, and ideas forward through visual storytelling. My process is rooted in creative problem-solving and design thinking, which means starting from a place of empathy— seeking to have a robust understanding of the core needs of the project and people involved. From there, creativity can flourish into an innovative solution because it is rooted in the needs of who I’m designing for.

A few ways I like to stay inspired are through mountain biking, skating, observing historic architecture, using public transportation, and getting involved in my community.

Experience

  • Designer - 2018-Present

    Design logos + visual identity systems, brand collateral, promotional materials, illustrations, invitations, UX concepts, and other requested design work for individuals, companies, and organizations.

  • Graphic Designer - 2024

    Developed visual strategy for social media and marketing campaigns and initiated visual rebrands for multiple sub brands within the organization. Designed infographics, reports, and communication materials for various partner teams and created event promotion and on-site collateral for large events in the city.

  • Graphic Design Intern - 2022-2023

    Designed digital marketing materials, signage, event collateral, and other brand experience moments around the Magnolia Silos grounds. Worked with other creative team members, taking direction from art directors to execute marketing strategies and achieve Magnolia’s brand goals.

  • Art Director - 2020-2022

    Managed projects and communication between student workers and faculty. Created design work needed by different departments in the university, including icon sets, website updates, business cards, posters and banners, as well as running the art and design social media page.

  • Communication Director - 2021-2022

    Worked with fellow officers of AIGA (the Professional Association for Design) to plan and host design-related events and dinners throughout the year. Designed, wrote, and distributed promotional materials and invitations leading up to each event through print, email, + social media.

  • Placemaking + Graphic Design Intern - 2021

    Created design work internally for Marion Design Co and for external clients. Work included web design, placemaking design, event planning, illustration, branding & merch, photography, & layout design.
